Years ago I was introduced to snowmobiling, and it was love at first ride. Over the years, sleds have come and gone, and I have been into and out of the sport, but I never lost track of it.
When I most recently got back into things, I ended back on a Yamaha (I had a 338SL way back when), and shortly thereafter discovered this site. While I was never afraid to tear into mechanical things, I never considered myself "inclined." Over the past couple of years, with the help from this site and the people on it, I've been able to keep two sleds running top notch and I've just completed "restoring" a 97 SX 700 that had seen the wrath of an abusive owner. I had probably 90% of the nuts and bolts out of this sled at one time or another, and it all went back together perfectly. I'm very proud of this accomplishment and I'm happy to put a former basket case back on the trails where it belongs.
It would be impossible to put a figure on the amount of money I have saved buying parts on TY, or avoiding dealer repairs thanks to TY tech and forums, or from buying from the great dealers that advertise here. I want to send a special thanks to Viperlover, who at the Milwaukee show actually GAVE me some spare carbs to strip for some odd fittings I needed. Very cool.
In closing, I just want to thank Tom and everyone at TY for all the help you've provided over the years. It is much appreciated.

I agree completely!!! This is a terrific site, unsurpassed with fast, friendly, expert advice. This site has helped me enormously and is always fun to visit! Many thanks to Tom, Mr Sled, for putting up this site amd maintaining it. Many thanks to all the folks who contribute to this excellent resource. It is amazing how a group of people, most of whom have never met each other face to face, get along so well and are so willing to help each other. Absolutely terrific!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
