I'm fairly new to the sport and just bought a 01 sxr 700 and it needs carbides. I was told to go with 6" as I have 144 studs. However what is the difference between 60 and 90 deg of carbide and which brand would you guys suggest. Thanks

Check out Scott Bergstrom from Bergstrom carbides. 60 degrees are sharper than 90 and will penetrate ice or hardpack best. 90's are stronger and may last longer but will appear rounded (not sharp) sooner. Bergstrom host bars are the stongest in the business. Read Scotts homepage its more info than you will ever need. Once dull send them back to scott and he will rebuild them. -mac-
