Last season I had all 4 KYB's rebuilt on my Viper and can honestly say it rode very well. During the end of the season, I ended up bidding on two Ohlins for the rear skid on Ebay and ended up only winning the bid on the larger piggy back Ohlin. It was a freshly rebuilt Ohlin sold by Bruce Schrader of Pioneer Powersports. My question is for those that have had experience riding on the Ohlins: Should I install the Ohlin or sell it? Is it that much better of a ride? I have the sled apart as we speak, so this would be the time I guess. Otherwise I may throw it back on Ebay and see if I can sell it.
Any thoughts??

I have front's and rear of rear in my Viper. For me, running just the rear was a no brainer. Being able to adjust for varying conditions is great. Plus, the Ohlins are WAY more durable. I currently have 5-6 KYB rear shocks that have been blown up. The Ohlins is still in the ol' Viper. Hope this helped ya'

YES, I do know they are tough as nails. I remember many years ago I went to a Olav Aaen clutching clinic held in the Twin Cities. He had a special seminar also going on at the clinic that I listened to given by John Wicht III (former Soo-500 champion). He ran Polaris and of course back then all their chassis were the same from year to year (INDY). He would always pull his Ohlins off his former sled and move them to his new race sled. He actually raced 5 seasons on one set of shocks and said he finally thought he better rebuild them. When he took them apart they were still in great shape. The gas was still good and the oil looked great. He said he couldn't believe how durable they were and said he would never race any other brand of shock. I guess we know why they are so expensive.
