Reed Spacers with Boysen Power Reeds??

Anyone know if reed spacers are still helpful when using Boysen Power reeds on a 500 twin? The power reeds are a one piece design with no top stopper thingy...so I am not sure if reed spacers would even help here.

I did that same thing on my cousins 97 v-max 600 and we thought is was a noticeable diffrance. But then we ran it to clutch problems. We will really know this winter.
