I just picked up a 87 Inviter 300 for $100 and I'm debating on whether to keep it intact or if its worth pulling the engine and putting it in my golf cart (it's only a 9hp fan cooled). Any one know how much hp the little 300 liquid puts out?

is it liquid??? and twin cylinder?I am not sure, but I am geussing around 35-40hp maybe? The Bravo engine has 25hp, and its only a single cylinder fan-cooled, 340's today have 36hp, but where that one has 40cc less BUT liquid cooling it may be about the same

Actually it's a SINGLE cylinder 300 liquid! Here is a picture of one I borrowed from the internet.

ya i'd say 30 hp, a bravo is fan cooled 250, and makes 25 whole HP!!! But man, it looks like one of those twin 500/600 motors cut in half, lol

Ya, my son's got a '90 inviter with 750 orig. miles on it, great kids sled-- pretty comfortable little sled and I think most of them came with electric start. The Keihin carb gave us a little trouble-- thing had a wicked low end bog, put a bigger pilot in and helped a lot. The one in that picture looks brand new!
