Curious on how the ported Mountain Max 700 motors run. If you have one,
Who ported it?
Reliable?
Noticable power gain?
I have read that the ported motors are "finiky" and are sensative to alltitude/temp changes. But also read porting could be better than a mild big bore...

Porting
Been ported since 02 0n a 01 SXr 700 with 151 2" and it has been trouble free no issues for over 10.000 Kilos just won't die. I'm running SLP triple pipes , V Force ( a waste of money ) spacers , one layer head gskt , and an Ekholme tunnel ( Which has less cooling ) Yes there is a noticable gain in power but not finiky . There is a Rpm loss at altitude as usual but still runs great and I don't think my fuel milage has changed. The airbox mod makes it finiky though .Got it done in Vernon BC by Nick at the local Yammie dealer . My buddies 00 MM was done the same but had the timing advanced and he sold it with over 10,000 also with no issues , never could catch that thing . Bullitproof if done properly.
