Last year, before I put the sled away, I cleaned the valves. I then fogged the motor & put it away for the year. I just got it out, cleaned the carbs, threw the battery back in, & when I turn the key to the "on" position, instead of the power valve servo adjusting itself & shutting off after a couple seconds, it stays on. There's a low hum coming from it, so I know it's not turning off.
Any ideas? All the valves slide just fine, so there's not a stuck one. Could it be a ground issue with the electrical? Bad servo?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Chad

At first it was a jittery sound. I turned the key 3 or 4 times hoping it would go away. Now, it's a constant hum.
The battery is fully charged. Even tried turning the key with the charger on it at 35amps.

i thought that on an er, when the key was on and the sled was not running the valves pulled open just like the standard vipers when you hook up the harness to a battery?
ive only set up a couple er vipers so im not sure.

The more I think about it, the more I think the low, steady hum is supposed to be there. I think I never really noticed it before because the hood was down. I just went back out & checked the valves again. When I checked them when it made the jittery noise, I only checked 2 of them. Just checked the 3rd, & it was definitely stuck. Not sure why it would be stuck when I cleaned it in the spring, but whatever. Put it back together, & there was no jittery noise, just the low hum after it adjusted into place. Fired it up & let it run for a few minutes, shut it off, & now the servo is back to normal.
Thanks for the quick responses. If I would have been more thorough the first time, I wouldn't of had to post.

that jittery noise means your cables/cable are too tight and the servo is trying to set,re-adjust using 2.5mm and it should fix the prob.
