THANKS BUD. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Yes thank you. I started having that prob at the end of last season, and i kept thinking the dang thing was overheating. I just started workin on it again. Bled and bled the cooling system and the frigging thing started flashing again.
X2...wiggle the wires at the end, you will most likely see a brake in the wire...Yamaha has a kit to replace the wire lead w/end as it tends to break at the wire & tip...just cut old one off & splice in the new one, should be good to go...& don't replace the tie wrap @ the rad hose to secure the wire lead to the sensor...did three last season & one the season before that...cheersramblnman said:tony ,my book reads 1 long 3 short is discontinuity or short of the water temp sensor
I had the same thing happen to one of mine.. I replaced the plastic plug and wire leads for the temp sensor.. Yamaha has a "technical service bulletin" out on that problem.. Thats what HECKELS in Eagle river Wisconsin told me!!! IT DID WORK THOUGH!!!
