I buy all of my parts from Port Yamaha they have a link from the site. Prices are very resonable.

You can't just buy a whole kit you have to buy all the individual parts. Rich Motorsports is excellent to deal with and fast shipping.

Ok.....so its safe to say triplex would use them and expertxviper would not.If they wont last as long as the OEM pistons im not going to buy them. The difference in the price isnt worth the extra work.

On your race sled is it an iron bore or nicasil plated? I have had great luck with Weisco pistons in an iron bore, but when put into a nicasil bore it seamed like you had to run one size larger jet. I have a customer who sent one of his cylinders away to be resleaved and the sleve was not plated, soon enough another lean burn.

My cylinders are Nicasil coated. Stock Yamaha powderd pistons have a huge advantage in heat distribution, the Wiseco's not as good. That is why you had to go up one size larger in jetting, this aided in cooling the piston. What you really have to watch in using Wisceo's is the tolerances, because they expand faster, too tight, they squeak. On a liquid cooled engine with a bore size larger than 66mm the cylinder clearance should be .005" - .006" with a ring gap of .010" - .035".
What engine is this? Why would he install a non-plated cylinder with other coated cylinders (thats how I read it) he is only asking for trouble.

Arctic crap 800 zr. I sent out the cylinder to us chrome to be replated. I did however order all new cat pistons and rings for both cylinders.

That explains it (Arctic Cat) with cylinders that big (tomato juice can) the torsional vibrations pound the shit out of them. Just watch the ring pins, a friend has lost two cylinders because of them letting go.
