Took out my buddies sled with new track and everything, carbs cleaned in the process... Noticed that it will throttle up and take off fine but if you let off the throttle all the way and go back to hit it, the sled wont rev up, it sorta bounces around at 3000 rpm....
what are some reasons for this?
thanks

Throttle cable is too tight. Or the switches are bad.

check your throttle end play fisrt then we can go from there
2mm...

Just for the heck of it, when you close the hood make sure the hood straps aren't laying across the plugs. When i had my 94 vmax it did the exact same in the U.P. It would pull hard out of the hole and all the way to the top and if i let off in the slightest, forget it, nothing 3-4k WOT. I'd stop, hit it again and samething over and over. Figured it out when we got back from up there. Something so silly that didn't get caught for 3 days. It was grounding the plugs out. Just something to check!
