i have 1995 vmax 500 it idles great but bogs and has no power when you try to go . can anybody give me sme ideas
carbs been cleaned ? bad plug ? or plug boot ?
ive cleaned carbs , checked plugs i read something about tors could cause this ? also the oil injection has been removed what should i be mixing the fuel at . i will check wires thanks for the ieas
If its the tors, it will bobble like a real bad miss and like its going to backfire. Also the Tors light should come on.
Whats it doing when you say it has no power, is it revving at all?

Pull your plugs and read them
Check compression... Mine ran with a blown ring.
thats my suggestion- check your compression, especially if you have been running without your oil injection and no premixing. i do that to my motors when they have been very bad!

Cure 66, My wifes 500 did a simular thing last season. After you check your plugs, compression, carbs , wiring.... check your exhaust pipe and can, Her sled would run fine if rear lifted off the floor but when you put the track on the ground no power! Sometimes critters can get up into your can and pipe and block it off. My wife hit a pole midseason last year and must of broke an baffle off inside the can. If you have same symtoms remove your can , start the sled and see if power returns. also have you checked all of your drive bearings, idler wheels.... Just my 2 cents. Good luck
