I have a 97 vmax500xt. We were out riding and it just quit reving beyond the idle of 3200 rpm. The engine runs fine but whe you try to go it bogs out. If youo hold your hand over the air intake it will rev and run normal. If you let off the throttle to almost a stop it will bog again. Any ideas what could be wrong.
carbs cleaned ? t..o.r.s. sounds like ....unplug the two wires going to the carbs ...and plug them into them self on carbs and the harness side ....seee if that helps
