On my 2004 Viper S, the self diagnosis light started flashing on me. It flashes 6 times, pauses, flashes 6 times, pauses, and ect. and shows a little motor in my display at the same time. Thought at first it was saying that I needed to clean my power valves. Did that, and it still flashes. Anyone else run into this? Any help would be great! Thanks

go to the tech page and the codes are listed, 6 flashes is dcs system. you are experiencing detonation.

tried finding where it showed me the different codes and what they meant but was unsuccessful. found a spot were it showed me some codes but not the one i am looking for. in my owners manual it says its code number 8 but for the description of it, it basically just tells me that yea its flashing. not very helpful for me. So your saying that my diagnosis light is telling me that the d.c.s. is acting up? Sorry kinda new at this. Your help is very much appreciated!

Rat,
I had a similar code couple of years ago and my DCS wire was torn in half. I soldered the wire and shrink wraped it. Code went away and has been fine since. Something to check for as that wire is very thin.
