The only problem i see is that if your throttle cable ever freezes WOT or even half throttle, the machine wont limit rpms to 3400 and it may be a bugger to stop....
no but if the carb stock at full throttle be prepare to have a fast ride and hope u don't fall cause u will need to run fast to catch him lolll

does not hurt anyting electircal if that is your question. It just eliminates a switch that can open if the throttle stickes ( a safety item)
mine is bypassed too.
I think it was a sefety issue when my tors went off when my glove kept catching on the throttle and my engine instantly wnet to idled for 30 seconds before running normal again.....
happend about 10 times one ride with my buddy right on my butt
I bypassed mine and no problem

lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
The TORS system relies completely on two mechanical switches. One in the flipper and one at the carbs. The only real reason to disable it is to rule it out as a problem. The most common reason? Too cheap to buy a new switch. With proper throttle cable adjustment, the system will work as intended regardless of mods. Anyone that has disabled the system should be at least running a tether, so that when you get thrown from your sled during that 'watch this' moment, the sled doesn't take off due to a frozen throttle. [/soapbox]
There's more TORS info here. Post #9 has throttle cable adjustment and testing from the service manual.

If you bypass the tors at least wire in a tether cord,i dont know why the srx didnt come with one anyway. If you plan on doing any type of racing/radar runs they require it anyway.

seems like i have all the slack i can get outta my buddies throttle cable on his 99 srx, maybe the wires were hooked up backwards when reinstalling the carbs? will have to check if thats even possible.
