Has anyone tried this. I went to my dealer to pick-up slides and he hands me slides that don't look right to me. The are wider and not as deep as previoius ones I have bought. When I asked him about it he said they have changed them recently. I took them home and put them on my sled. They fit on the rails but were too short. I called the dealer and he still says they are the wirte profile just too short and that he has longer ones in stock. What do you guys think? Does this dealer know what he is talking about? He is saying that slides for an Apex will fit the SRX.

The wide and narrow slides are interchangeable. There not just apex slides there on all the newer skids.Alot of guys run the narrow one's on there 4 strokes.

Sorry, that is what I meant, slides for the newer 4-stroke sleds. I guess I just used Apex as an example. So these slides from the newer 4-srokes will work on the older SRX skid? My concerns are 1. because they are wider will the track catch where the slide meets the rail tip and 2. Since they seem to be thinner (less material below the rail) will my idler wheels be down too far? Hmm, maybe this will help with premature wear kind of like putting on larger Polaris wheels? Thoughts??

Just got some. This is good info. I would of liked the wider ones for sure. The only reason they did that is so they last longer on the 4 strokes?
