I got a 93 yamaha exciter II with a somewhat fresh motor in it. The problem is is that it wont run all the time now. Sometimes it will start and run fine, but then the next time it wont even start, floods it self or something after about 10 seconds. If I put the plugs in front of a space heater and get them red hot, put them in with gloves, it will run a bit longer but not much. Almost like the floats stick in the carbs or the jets are messed up. Any suggestions on whats wrong?
did you check to see if the carbs are flooding? I would suspect needle and seats.
