Well add me to the list of people with DCS issues. Here is the rundown. Last year it never came on once.. This year I changed my clutching and it comes on every run somewhere around 90mph. I then tried gas from a different station.. No luck.. Then tried a completely different clutch setup..no luck. Finally I tried octane boost.. Still coming on around 90mph... I have the exact clutch setup I ran last year coming in the mail. I am going to try that next, but I am not confident that is going to cure the problem. I am thinking about replacing the sensor. Any other ideas???

Yea.. That is what I am running. Wow.. I found the sensor.. It's over 100 bucks. Nice.. Maybe I will try the plastic washer to make it less sensitive. I am confident it is oversensitive at this point.

At what rpm's does the light trigger? If it is in the heart of the timing advance, then it will light up alot..... For example, on my piped viper, i see the dcs light when cruising at about 73-7700 rpm, which i am pretty sure has alot of timing advance.... However when i run 9000, an area where the timing is not as advanced, i have no dcs issues. However, i would like someone to confirm what i have just stated.

Well for me it comes on when getting to 90-100mph. One clutch setup was overreving at that speed to the tune of 8600. My clutching last night was underreving bad @ 8000 and it cam on at the same speed.. It varies a little, but in general that is where it comes on. I know I have good fuel and safe jetting, so I may just disable it. I assume I need to come up with a plug for the rail and then ground the sensor. Actually the more I think about it.. When you take the sensor out it must not be open to the coolant. Can anyone confirm? Maybe all I need to do is just ground the sensor.

Does the sled fall on its face at that speed? I forgot to plug in the vacuum hose that attatches to the air box after having it out once on my 02 Viper. The sled ran perfect until about 83mph then lost power until I slowed below 75, recovered and did the same thing every time at 83.

No it doesn't fall on it's face.. It just has a hard time pulling past 105-110. (because the light is on and timing is retarded) I think it's the length of the run that is getting me.. I have read through all posts on here about DCS and plan to throw my "known good" clutch setup in it from last year. Assuming the light comes on, I am just going to take the sensor out and ground it. Make it an 01 SRX.. lol... I have also checked the plugs and they are fat if anything. I just don't want to spend my season trying to figure out why the light is coming on when I know I have good jetting and good fuel. (at least with the 104+ octane boost)

sounds stupid but make sure those power valve are properly ajusted ...i know it have a big issue about it ...and make sure your not loading the motor to mutch so it create to mutch engine heat

Power Valves were cleaned and adjusted just before the season. I always pull the pipes and check them by hand. Now that I have electric start it makes getting the valves to open much easier. :) One time the DCS didn't come on until 115mph and that was with the clutching a little off.. So I have to assume the PV's are working as expected. I don't think I could get that speed with a stuck valve or something.

As far as loading the motor.. I'll know for sure if that is a possibility after I get my helix back I used last year. I'll re-run that exact setup and see. I never had the light come on last year even once.

sounds like you load the motor too mutch then.....i hate 2 stroke lolllllll good chance i have some tips for my sled from awsome member here... hope your helix will make my sled a rocket hahahahah (joke)

Maybe.. I'll know for sure when I use last years set-up. I was real happy with it last year anyway.. I should have left it alone!! lol.. But what fun would there be in that????

JUST A TEST HERE, YOU HAVE ACESS TO 110 RACE GAS. IF YA DO , TRY 60/40 WITH PUMP PREM. BEFORE YOU HOLLAR BACK AT ME, TRY THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)
