My current project an '88 Exciter 570cc, has 1-1/2 year old, composite skis, & studded track (both well worth the price I paid for the sled). It had the elec start option, but the ignition assembly is from a kawasaki, and the battery in not there. I don't care for electric start anyhow, as it pulls over and idles decent anyway.

BUT...
It bogs right off the get go, I have to feather the throttle to up the RPM's, for it to run on both cylinders, but bogs badly especially up hills,

I'm about to replace the rings (low compression), rebuild the carbs, rebuild the primary clutch, any help, tips, tricks, advice, or parts are welcomed.

I'm the 3rd owner, the sled is says it only has 7000 km on it.

I'm 250lbs, so I want to get this sled running good, to haul me around.

I bought a trail pass, in excitement with all the snow we have early
(Northern Ontario), pass is already on the sled,

So I'm reading all posts that I can, for ideas of where to troubleshoot.

Here's a few questions that I'm seeking solutions for:

1) Jets in the carbs, my research says that #320 is supposed to be the main jet size, and 42.5 for the pilot. Is this correct?

2) Also I'm consider using mixed fuel instead, and disabling injector, Good or bad idea? If good, what jet #'s should I use in the carbs?

3) Heated Visor wiring, I bought a heated visor, and I have the RCA type receptacle for it, where and what do I tap into?

4) When I turn left the head light cuts out? Any thoughts?

Any or all help is greatly appreciated.
