I have been running USI project Xs for 3 years now, and have never been completely happy with them. They push in the corners upon initial turn in, then GRAB HARD suddenly, causing inside ski lift. It is hard to judge when this will happen, so you don't know where to be on the seat when negotiating the turn.
I found a new pair of 2007 Pilots for sale cheap, and have heard good things about them.
When I installed the carbides, the center carbide sits farthet away from the ski bottom than the outside one, so they will not be in contact with a hard surface, unless I set the camber way negative.
Do I set the camber so to get the carbides to each touch, or is it correct to have the outside up off the surface?

I thought I read somwhere that the outside one only touches when cornering.

That's right only the center touches in a straight line. Well the outer does drag a little because the center has to penetrate the snow. I think that is what corrects the darting. Leave the camber the way you have it. I know my rockhead Skidoo buddies swear by them but I have not personally tried them. I run C&A Pro and love them.
