Me and a buddy just purchased 01 srx's. They both are stock with exception to heel clickers and I have a power inc can. I weigh 235 and he is 140 soking wet. I beat him by skis every time across a field (from the holeshot). After about 80 mph we had to let off (large oak trees at the other end). We are going to race an 02 mxz 700 (stock) 160 lb. owner rider. How will we do across a lake? Should I bother with an extra 75 lbs? Your thoughts?

Mxz 800's will be no problem on a lake run. You'll go by a 700 like its tied to a tree.

Well that is nice to hear. How about out of the hole? Did you consider the weight diff?
most mxz 700's are faster then the mxz 800's out of the box.
I have tuned many 700 mxz 's and grass draged them speed run etc. They are still no match for a tuned srx even when there tuned. If the tuner knows what he's doing he can take out a lot of clutched srx's unless the srx is dialed in and I don't mean a off the shelf kit.

I ran my bone stock 02 srx against my buddies stock 02 mxz 800 on the res. up in tug hill a lot.Out of the hole he killed me because he was studded and i wasnt,by half way across the res. i caught him and blew by him pretty easily. The res is about 2500-3000 ft long.I weighed 225 at the time he was 160 wet.The first time we raced he couldnt believe it,he said "i wasnt expecting that to happen".lol
