Hey all you Yamaha knowledge gods
My 2001 MM 700 just hit 3000 kms at the end of last season and we are getting ready for our first ride in a couple of weeks. What can or should be done to keep this sled running as good as new.
I change the gear oil several times a year as well as the plugs and grease the nipples but is there more I should doing???
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
Not sure if this is out of the ordinary but I'm still on the dealer installed original belt...
My buddies with ski-doo's go thru 5-10 belts a season
Is this good luck or another Yamaha trait??

I would change the belt at about 2000 miles, take look at the speedo side bearing, they you may want to pull the dust cover and repack or replace. Check over wheels, look for bad bearing or rubber missing. I would guess most of these things will be fine.

I always pump the gas out and burn it in my truck .I like having fresh fuel in a two
stroke .It seems to lose octane in the summer .
