A buddy of mine has a 77 SRX looks mostly stock, has original twin pipes seat is in poor condition, the hood is black with gold stripes. Any idea how much this may be worth?

I was just going by what year he said it was. non painted tunnel, black hood gold stripes. runs good but looks worn. He thinks it is worth $1,500. I offered $50 lol

That's worth some research - if it really is a '77, and in restorable condition, that price isn't that far off. Fully restored, it's gotta be worth about $4000. Mint condition, unrestored would be around $5000.
Compare the S/N's on the chassis and engine case - let us know what the first three numbers/letters are.

hmm sounded like you were discribing a 80,but since it had a non paintet tunnel,it could may be a 79 that has ben paintet gold stripes on it
An original 77,would not be cheap
