Started 01 SRX for the first time this season.Got it running fairly quickly,problem is,does not want to idle/run when choke is off.
Will run with 1/2 choke for a while,when it starts to load up,knock choke off,will run for a bit,then just die.Machine is plenty warm,never had a problem with this machine.I think I know what will be suggested,just wanted to run it past a few of you.Is it time to pull carbs and clean?Have not done it in a few years. Oh god, a few years???????? Get those carbs off each year and clean them until they sparkle!!!!

remove all jets then blow them and all carb passages out with shop air,take
your time..
held up to the light you wana see daylight through them(jets)

Pulled them apart yesterday and made them sparkle.Runs as good as new.
Pilots jets were clogged,and had some weird looking white goo in the bowls.
Thinking about a in line filter and shut-off valve so I can run them dry at end
of season.Thanks Guys.
