I purchased a set of PSI triple pipes this summer for my 99 Vmax 600 SX. After a bit of fabrication to the sled to make the pipes fit right the installation was final. I was then told that it would need to be jetted especially because my airbox was gutted out. My buddies and I have tried three different jet scenarios and just can't get her right. I am currently at a 150-155-150 setup. The first one seems to be ok, the middle one is running hot, and the last one is wet. Can some one help me? I have these pipes sitting in the garage doing me no good because of the jetting. I imagine we might have to mess with the fuel screw, we were thinking about going up one more size with the center jet bringing it to a 160. I am getting a bit tired of this trial and error and would really appreciate some helpful info. Thanks

Usually you jet down with psi pipes and raise the needles, turn the fuel screws out to 3 turns, at least on the 700's not sure about the 600's, but i woul;d say that its very similar, try this setup: 136 mains across the board, 3 turns out on the fuel screws and put the clip to the #4 pos. on the mid and mag sides leave it at #3 pos on the pto side
Try that and keep an eye on those plugs!

ya you wanna run around 9000, and either weight isa good weight to run !

you want that weight right around 42 - 43ish grams per fly weight, so try .8 in both holes, and as far as gearing goes ,I ran 21\40,---if your a heavy man then keep the 20. 20\ top will bring your top end down some! 22 tooth gear will make good top end with the 8ca;s! all depends on what your lookin for and your style of riding!

Well I decided to call this place here.

Hoping that they use to be the same PSI that made our pipes. Sure as sh!t they are the same. The person that I spoke with must have been with PSI back when the pipes were still in production and PSI was by themselves. He knew everything I asked him right off the top of his head.
He told me that the redhead pipes were designed & engineered to use STOCK jetting. That all I would need to do is fiddle w/ the needles. After pulling the carb covers 4 times and fine tuning the color and wash, here's what I ended up with.
PTO-----2.5
Center--4.0
Mag-----4.0
