I Have recently purchased a 99 Vmax 700 and as most sleds around, has been sitting for a season-season and a half. I am going through the carbs cleaning and one of the pilot adjusters is froze in. Well im not gonna leave it so i drilled it out and messed up the carb. Getting a used set carbs with 155 jets that had pipes on it. Could put my old ones(facoty) in these carbs but think i am gonna get new(factory) jets just to ensure they are in great condition. Are factory jets a bit rich or perfect for a stock sled. Got a friend with a sxr that says from factory his sled is set rich. Is this the same for my vmax? Factory Jets are 145 pto cyl.1 - 143.8 cyl. 2,3..... (Y do they make one cyl richer than another??)
Thanks for all the help.....

Definately read the tech pages on this, I did and changed out my stock main jets for 142.5s across the board. Also drop the Jet needle clips a half a position. Set you fuel screw to at least 1.5 turns out. I had a very noticeable improvement! Last year whenever it got too warm, my plugs would only last a couple days in to pto cyl. before fouling.
I have a used set of carbs off of a 97 700 no jets but will sell the carbs for 75 plus shipping, all3 on the rack Maxdlx
