Was wondering if anyone else has had problems fouling plugs on their srx's in the powder. My sled will be running great and we will get off trail and I'll lean it to the right and thats it time to stop and change a plug. Its never the same cylinder that fouls so I figure it has to do with the exhaust back pressure or something. I have a mbrp can on it I dont know if that has anything to do with it . I just purchased a exhaust shield for a MM that I am going to try to see if that helps. I have heard of cats having this problem but never a Yammie. Any input would be great. :o|

hmm, would fuel levels have anything to do with that...Im just guessing here, I am no mountain rider. As you tip the sled the fuel level gets to low and lean fouls the plug...

Is it only to the right???? Maybe you are just blocking the exhaust like you said....and snuffing the motor..

Your fresh air intakes get plugged, the engine breaths in warm humid air & the sled chokes itself. It helps to run a cold air kit & keep the nose up in powder.Might be jetted a little rich for the altitude also!

I only seem to remember it happening when I leaned it to the right. As far as the air intake I dont think its the problem as it hardly as any snow build up on the hood or in the engine compartment. I will look at all the plugs next time to see how they look but I dont think that its the richness as it is never the same plug and the thing doesn't miss a beat when going down the trail. I have a variflow so I will try one more click if it happens again after I put the shield on. Maybe I will have to convince my wife that we need another mountain sled so we both can play in the powder and keep the X for kicking some tail on the trails. (Like that will happen). Thanks for the input guys I really appreciate it.

Is water staying under the plug caps? my dad had that problem! take the caps off and see if there is water under there.

Skidooboy was going to put a MM exhaust shield on his srx, but it would have required some modding to the belly pan. If you like the off trail, I would do it, and get the cold air kit too.
