Electric start and reverse!

The er models came with electric start and reverse for $400 canadian more. The er's came with mostly red, while the standard ones came in blue and few limited edition black ones. If you added these seperatly, it would cost about $800. In 02 the sleds were exactly the same otherwise. In 03 the er came with the marshmellow shocks, while the regular viper came with the stiffer setup designed for ditch banging. If you can get the er, since the viper ropes rub on the chaincase and need replacing every few seasons. Pain in the butt.

i dont know if black was a limited edition , just not as common . i have a black 2004 viper er .

i found a 02 sxviper ER in blue for 2800. is this a good sled.

No get an 03!

I would look for an 03 or 04. Get at least an 03, since the 02's had a long list of re-calls. I think the fuel pump, oil lines,shocks,heat exchangers and wiring were all corrected for 03.

Remember not to run an ER Viper without a battery . You will have issues if you do. 02 Vipers have NO DCS
