Here is my problem, I put a brand new set of hifaxes a few weeks back and I put a total of 50 miles with a loose track, I know that cause it was ratcheting when I was giving it gas on deep powder. The front of the hifaxes looks almost gone to the line where the rail starts, the starps ar loose all the way I can go more, (now I'm thinking I got the wrong ones) I did put viper shocks all the way around and I have adjustable T rods ( for long travel also ). The straps I got form a guy here, he was kind to send them to me for free, they where made out of some kind of belt material, they worked great, but I'm guessing they are not long enough.

When I push the sled down from the rear bumper is like it doesn't want to go back up unless I help it, also when is on level ground the back of the track looks off the ground maybe a few inches.....

Can somebody measure for me the complete lenght of a long travel limiter strap please, before I order a set from the dealer....

In case that I have to order from wich sled should I get it.....?

There is finally snow on the ground and I'm kinda stuck here with a bent trailing arm also....

PLEASE HELP GUYS.....

Nick

Why do you have the limiters out so far??? It's generally not considered a good idea to have the suspension adjusted so that the rear of the track sits on the ground or very near to it. Having the limiter straps out that far is putting lots of pressure on the front of your skid.

Well I was never very smart!

So not having any threads to show is making me burnt my hyfaxes faster and my skid is not touching on the back because of that..?

Just to be clear I have no threads showing on the top....

Thanks crewchief keep the info coming so I can understand how this works, is there a link for dummies to check on the techs, I don't recall seeing much.

And the reason I had it that way was because I tought that would keep my front end up, I mean so I don't have to much sky preasure and would flotate better in deep snow....WAS I WRONG. Is the other way around ???? :o| :o| :o|

That link is from this thread http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=51505

It's been a while since I read through it but it may have some RAR file info in it. If it doesn't, someone else will know this stuff better than myself. You can also google rar and do some reading. (I could swear Windows can handle RAR files)

Get a drink, the video is 1/2 hour or more.

I got the beer and the file downloaded but it wont run, and I'm so bad with computers also, hey maybe I should sell the sled and teh pc and try something else....LOL

I will see what I can do about this RAR file.....

Measrue the straps total length, and I can tell you later if they are long travel or not.. You need to pull up the limiters so you have between 15 to 25 mm above the nut. Maxdkx

This is getting frustating I downloaded the VLC file that YAMAHEAD sugested but it wont open it or read it.......%$#&^#&^@$#(&! :o|

When I try to open it with the VLC it says

VLC can't recognize the input's format:
The format of 'C:\Users\Nicolas\Downloads\YAMAHA.Pro-Action.rar' cannot be detected. Have a look the log for details.
