Is anyone finding their hyfax wearing out faster then it was when new? my first set lasted 1600 miles now the last 2 set i put on (yamaha grafite ones) only lasted 300 miles per set. I took the suspension out for the fourth time and found the 2 inned rear rails cracked and bent. so i took it to yamaha and they wouldnt warrenty then even tho i have a warrenty till 2010.They said that the syspension wasnt set up rite for my riders weight.
Now looking at the newer sleds(apex) i see they reinforced that spot with 1/4'' alunimum brackets on the inside of the and the outdide of the rail. and even tho i have a degree in mechanical engineering they said they would talk to the dealer and they still stated those brackets were a suspension update..
Btw the cracked & bent rail is where the inside rear bogie wheels bolt through the rail
would like to know your thoughts

sounds like bs to me..those sleds come from the factory with a warrenty not knowing the riders wieght & riding conditons....i would fight this.

you better go to that dealer and talk to the owner,they should cover that no problem

Yamaha has probably the best warranty out there. If the dealer you took it to won't cover it, tell them you will go to another dealer, for your next sled purchase as well.

just call yamaha themselves and tell them, probably get better results
