A friend with a ported SRX 700 had his coolant line blow off the water rail. We're stumped. There was no indication of any problems. Just bam blew off in a cloud of steam when it hit the pipes.
Any ideas out there?

Bad clamp? bad headgasket causing engine compression to Pressurize the water jacket in the system....
2 for bad or loose clamp? bad hose? overheat??

water temp seems to be around 120-130. I'm leaning towards to clamp or hose. I did notice that there is no lip on the throat. I was just wondering if anyone had issues with the head gaskets. These are oring type yes?

don't rule out a bad oring. A bad inner oring will put compression in to the cooling system and with find the weak link. yours the cooling rail. just my 2 cents.

The system doesn't seem to be over pressuring. I can still squeeze the hose at 3000rpm. I guess it could be really intermitent or at higher RPM.
