I have removed the drive clogs a couple of times on various sleds to put on new tracks and now i need to order a new bearing for my 02 sxr. Problem is through dennis kirk they have the bearings listed as drive axle bearings and jackshaft bearings but for some reason they have the same part numbers. I need the bearing on the speedo side I know for sure it is differant than the bearings on the chaincase side. Also where is the best place to buy bearings with fast shipping??? Id order it at the dealer but i think $27 for that bearing seems kinda high and i would rather have it delivered to my house in a couple days than to the dealer in a week. thanks

Is there a local bearing dealer anywhere near you? There is a BDI Bearning company near me and they can get me anything I walk in there with, and for much less green compared to ordering the OEM bearing from the dealer.
The locking collar bearings on the speedo side are hard to find. The jackshaft bearing has a radius that clamps in between the black holders and the driveshaft bearing is flat on top. That's the difference. I've seen some crappy "aftermarket" bearings used in those locations. For those two bearings, I like to just stick with the Yamaha ones. They last almost forever.
I had no luck finding the drive axle bearing ...had to get yamaha ....30 bucks for a peice of mind ...part number is 93306-20589
And practice how to get the rubber seal out and into your old bearing without damaging it. If you clean and re-grease the bearing(you can do this while it's installed) during yearly maintenance, it has a better probability of lasting a very long time....

Electrical "tweaker" screwdriver works well for this.

ok i suppose i will just order the factory yamaha one to be safe. the old bearing had 4k mils and was still working but i completely destroyed it trying to get it off of the drive axle. It was frozen on there pretty damn good. I ended up breaking it apart and had to take my cutoff wheel to cut through the part that was seized to the driveaxle. then i was able to knock it off with a chisel. I will deffinetly put anti seize on the shaft for reassembly. thanks
