i need to know te year,i have the number 8L4-052170, and i cant get runners for the skis,it appears to have aftermarket skis, i checked kimpex and cant find them, http://www.freedomsledder.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11411 theres a pic on there scoll down you'll seeit,click toenlarge.

Look for a sticker on the inside of your cowling,(rt side) the 1981 model should be EC340E. This number will be right next to the plug info and belt data, etc on that sticker.
I have an 81 Enticer 250, seems like to me that the wear bars would fit. Yamaha part number 888-23731-01-XX. Look for your part in the Online Yamaha Parts catalog here on the home page. Bingo, same part number, Dennis Kirk has replacement parts for $17, wear bar only. I cannot see spending $$ for carbides on a $400 machine.

you might have to remove 1 ski and bring it with you to your local sled parts store. they should be able to match it up then. if they cannot, you can always make a set from 3/8x1 bolts and a legnth of 1/2" steel round stock. had to make a set for a 1975 gs338 that some one had stolen and ruined the skis. could not get wearbars for it at all so we made them.
a hint for makeing them, put the bolts in the ski then weld the bar to them. they move too muck without some sort of jig to hold them.
