Hey all,

02 MM 700 completely stock, 650 miles:

Had a bog consistent with dirty carbs.

Pulled my carbs tonight, first time I've ever done it (thank you tech pages). I was a bit concerned to see some antifreeze pooled on the lip of the carbs on the airbox side when I pulled the boots off. Not excessive, but enough. The left carb (driver perspective) was the worst.

I am assuming that antifreeze in the carbs is abnormal. All the hoses and boots are in good shape. I don't have enough tech knowledge to know what could cause this and would appreciate some insight.

They have heated carbs, coolant runs through the carbs to keep em warm. on the left side there is a coolant line that goes to the carbs, check that area for anything out of the ordinary.

Anyone else ever seen this before? Did the engine summarily blow up. My carbs are pretty darn clean. Too clean for a strong bog imo.

I had a 2000 srx with a 780 big bore.I noticed it had antifreeze in the carbs but told myself it was just oil.The first time i rode it "KABOOM".I should have pulled the top end apart to check it all out before i rode it.It could be a bad gasket, water pump seal.
