My sled was already wired for a heated shield by the firsy owner. He got ground from the handlebar mount and tapped into the black wire going out to the handwarmer. Is that correct?

Shame on me for posting without searching first. For my single headlamp sleds, it's the brown wire off of the ignition switch. For the newer dual headlamp sleds, it's the blue wire that feeds the dimmer switch under the handlebar cushion. My sleds are mostly AC voltage at the handlebars, that's probably why my faceshield wasn't working. This info was posted in another thread.
