are all phazers 2.52 track drive pitch? I found out 1984-1989 phazers have a 12 spline drive shaft and 1990 -1998 phazer2 have the 15 spline (for gears). I have a shaft from an older phazer and was wondering if I can steal the drive sprockets off it to put on my 96 shaft or can I use the old shaft and just put the 12 spline gear on it? I'm asking because I want to be able to switch tracks without pressing drive sprockets on/off, going from 7tooth to 8tooth drivers.

1984 - 1989 phazers are 2.52 pitch , 15" x 116" tracks . 1990 and later phazers are 2.52 pitch 15" x 121" tracks . I think the diffrent phazers have diffrent chains so the gears are not interchangeable .

Yeah I agree the gears are not interchangeable....old ones have 12 splines and newer have 15, didnt know about different chains?
