I want to cut the harness and extend it so I can route it along the clutch side of the engine compartment. Obviously I would use the correct colored wire and appropriate sheathing/loom. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea... makes a quicker access to wiring if it does become damaged/ chaffed...I would think..

really... awsome... got any pics of the set up?
I want to re wire my sled when summer hits..
got lots to take off? or do u just remove the pipes n its rigt there?
I wana get mine done this summer so when the time comes where i need to fix the wiring i dont need to worry about ripping everythin out
yep remove pipe ...put wiring under hose and go down in front of the motor then use the old clip at the bottom of the belly pan
I would keep the harness away from the clutches. Blown belts can be hard on wiring.
