LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
I brought the sleds into the warm garage today.Took clutch of the SXR600 to change inner rivets. That all went ok.I put the sled on the dollies and wheeled it outside.I started it up and was going to take for a spin.Pulled the dollies off from under the ski's and then I give her gas, normally the rear dolly just flies back, but this time something happened that I have never seen before.I gave it more gas and the track locked up.I thought the brake was on,but it was off.I looked back ,the sled's track was down on the concrete...but couldn't see the rear dolly.I thought maybe it flew back and rolled around the truck. But no.I thought the unthinkable, the dolly climbed up over the track, between the tunnel and track and now is lodged about where the front shock is.WHAT THE HELL just happened here. How could it even climb the track when the track spits it back.NOW I am really pissed off and the dumb track won't even move frontwards or backwards.Put it back in the garage to melt all the ice on it,and looks like I am going to have to dismantle the suspension and drop it.Luckily I didn't give it to much gas and force something.MAN I need this like a hole in the HEAD right now.I am trying not to blow up over it,but this is just plain crazy.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!This year has not been a good season so far with lack of snow and riding but this now hits me.The track is tight now,so loosening it up won't help.I will have to remove the middle and rear bolts on the suspension to drop it enough hopefully to get that F#*kin dolly out. This is work I do not need to do right now..just wanted to ride. Don't laugh, but you got to admit this is a new one I haven't dealt with before.

I'm not laughing but.....Why in the hell would you leave the dollie and just let the track take it away...??????????????????? I saw and heard of a lot of people doing it but Honestly I don't see the point, is it that hard to lift the sled and take it out, you did lift the sled to put it under, right...? Doing this in my opinion is just people asking for trouble, one guy I used to ride dent pretty good his garage door doing this .
Anyways not try to give you a hard time just my way to say, do things right and don't skip steps.
Get some beer and some music going in the garage and work it out....Good Luck

man that sucks! guess its a perfect example of a shortcut adding time instead of taking it away from a project! on a completely different note.............. yamaouch, why are you selling a sled with only 85 miles!!!
and bluemonster, attach a come-along to the dollie and see if it can be pulled out that way might save you some time!

Well I took out the middle and rear suspension bolts, dropped the skid.Still has to wrestle to get that sucker out,but managed and all is back together.Notice one wheel is really bent back.

I have no idea how that dolly would not have gone straight out and back.I usually just tap the throttle until it is out and then I go.I thought that was what I did this time.I don't floor it when I do that...Somwhow somwthing snagged to the track, but yet to take it up into the tunnel,it should of just fallen down before it even got up to much.Anyways I was not rushing or anything.I would like to see the look on my face when I couldn't see the dolly behind me,cause I usually pick it up and put all 3 aside and then drive off. This really stumps me yet how this could have happened.I can't believe it,but it did.So now I am more aware of it...LOL

any of you have seen or have or tried the EZ-MOVE. It looks interesting.Just slide under belly close to track and pull arm back and hook to the bumper, then whole sled can be moved any direction quick.Great with the 10 in wheels.I am going to see If I can make one like that, put my welder to use.

EZ moves are really nice, I have to get me one to pull the sled out of the garage before starting (gravel driveway) that way the wife won't complain about the smoke.
I have an idea on how that dollie got there.......weird but this is what I came up with, once you gave it gas the thing went back hit the flap and somehow came back to the track and up the tunnel it went.....That is all I can think of....
Glad you got it out and you didn't wreck anything....
Ok off to the garage to change my bent T. arm and carbides

Well on the bright side you did not put the thing thru your garage door or a near by window or anything.
I've never really liked those triangular ones. Big rectangle ones are nice. Maybe you can weld a "L" shaped bar to it to make it easier to get out from under the sled or attach a rope to it so you can kick it out with a foot while lifting the back of the sled.
