I noticed some folks asking about maintenance ... "I have xxx miles/km on my sled ... What needs to be looked at?"
Does a maintenance schedule exist for the SRX? i.e.
Every 100 miles:
Etc?
Thanks

k, here's a quick run down of the ones I usually go by
monthly - check coolant, oiler line, throttle cable tension, carbide, hifax
seasonal (or 3000kms, which ever comes first)
clean carbs, clutches, powervalves, check piston wash while cleaning valves, replace plugs, check belt for cracks, check chain tension and chaincase oil level, look for metal flakes in the oil (if you shine a flashlight at the oil and it reflects back that's bad, magnet on the dipstick will usually pick up some sh*t to if there is any) adjust belt deflection if necessary. check exhaust and airbox for nests, check track clips, check compression
every couple years (or when buying/selling)
all of the above + go over the bearings, flush anti-freeze, re-ring if compression is soft.
