how much tip weight you got now???
I am not very familar with yamaha. But I have a rivet in each hole. How to know the weight? How much gramm to had to drop the rpm?
"gold" is a little to vague as far as Yamaha rivets go, as you can see in this link: http://www.totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/aaTECH/drivespecs/Rivets_Rollers.htm
There is a whole world of info in the "TY Tech" link in the menu bar at the top of the page or in my sig. Check it out!

the only way to really know is to start over and weigh the rivet you put in..

Usually a gold rivit is the 17.2 (long steel 4.5gram). SRX999 did you buy that clutch kit from Bender? Check your rollers and weights, do they move freely, any slop? Two ways you could lower your engagement rpm's is to go with a lower preload primary spring or go with a higher initial angle on your helix. I sent you a PM with more questions.
