Hey all,I bought a 97 sx this year. Its all stock except for the .92 lug track.I want to get the thing set up as good as I can before I start adding things like pipes ect...While im very mechanical,I know nothing about clutches.I want to learn.Ive got my sights on a used bender rooler rooster secondary and was wondering if parts can still be bought(helix, springs, whatever might wear out or already be wore out). What should I be looking for for a helix angle and spring? Are there any good manuals for installation, inspection and tuning? Thanks for any help, Al

You must know what angle helix is in the roller rooster. It may be too steep/ too shallow/what secondary spring & may be totallly useless for your sled. I used a roller rooster for years. something close to a 41/39 or lower worked great on a piped or unpiped 700 red head motor.

Thanks for the responses,Im not goin to even think about pipes ect. untill at least next year,so I want tpo get everything I can from what I have.As far as the helix,Im still waiting to hear what it has(he doesnt know)he says its set up for a viper with pipes.Thats one of the reasons I wanted to know if parts are available(helix springs ect)before I but it. thanks again Al
