Cant find in search, but remember seeing first two things to do to stock venture was some clutching and a different spring for the front shock of the rear suppension. Got a rough ride & it goes to 9000rpm and stays there..Any suggestions???
need to get rpm down
took to dealer , said they changed weight, didnt help. said they changed spring, got sled back with stock spring according to spec. so I dont think they did anything? add weight to tip and try? ANYONE....

I think you have serious binding problem in one or both your clutches.
clutches seem to be working fine, it'll do 95mph but at 9000rpm , need to bring down to 8500 is all.
Is the clutching stock? Do you have the tuning book for this sled? Has the sled always over reved like that or did you just buy the sled? Try to find out what rivets you have on the weights.
yes all stock clutching, new belt riding at proper hieght, rpm has always been high, total of 1400 miles on sled.
Probably just needs heavier rivets.

add tip weight,,whats your set up now????????
for my 600 clutching is all stock. from the looks of the spec chart the middle hole is loaded at 4.5g-17.2- and the tip is at 3.6g-13.9- ..if thats correct, if i add 4.5g to the tip that would'nt be to much would it? I also have a stock 47degree helix off my srx. Or different spring options? is there a good trail setup that has been tried. Im really looking to lower my rpm on the trail also, i like to turn 5500rpm instead of 7000rpm going 40 mph.
