Would you care to share these "issues"? There are very many helpful and knowledgeable people here!

ive posted them on here before guys have had many ideas but nothin has fixed it yet but its at wot the engine bogs down to 7000 rpm but if you ease into it you can hit 8200 or so and the sled wide open will only do 60-65 mph

dont know what the weights are but i pulled the belt off and ran it and it does the same thing so pulling the belt should eliminate the clutching from the picture shouldnt it

I think I remember the other post, but can't remember what all you have tried so far. Are you the one that found the bad reed pedals?

Positive the jets/passages are all clean?
Plugs have been changed?
When it does it, have you hit the kill switch and looked at all the plugs? What do they look like?
Can you tell which cylinder(s) are not firing? Tried changing spark plug caps around to see if dead cylinder follows?
Check harness under motor to see if it is rubbed?

is it possibly that your cdi box or stator is just bad? something is fried inside? my buddy has a '92 v-max 4 w/riechards cdi box and it would only run 7500. tried different clutching and still only 7500. now we knew it was the ignition, so we changed to a different chip in the box and whola....8500 rpm. i'd be willing to be, your losing ignition, either due to a bad cdi box, or bad stator. maybe someone local to you, has a cdi box to try out??

primary spring is a gwg and secondary is red and helix appears to be stock

that g/w/g spring should yeild like 8700-8800 rpms about, if you had stock weights and stock secondary. clutching is not your problem. i'd be willing to be its ignition.

had the same problem on my 00.it was the stator.but it occured after i used a viper cdi so thats the reason i cooked it.

jordan , probably not a good idea to ask for advice and then when given reply with your own answer ? not saying your right or wrong but you have 2 fellas with almost 2000 post refering to the stator and cdi "try it " what you got to loose .
