I bought this sled about two weeks ago and it ran alright, took it for a test drive kinda backfired and did want to idle so i put new plugs in it and cleaned out the carb. It ran fine for one day the i took it out and started it the idle dropped i took it for a quick spin came back the idle dropped and stalled since then i hevent been able to start it.

Whenever i pull start it, it runs for a second then dies. I put in a different cdi box didnt fix it, I think its the stator but i cant get it off and one have any idea what this could be? Hove can i get the flywheel off?

You need a flywheel puller to get the flywheel off. The flywheel has 3 threaded holes in it that the puller will bolt to then the main center bolt of the puller pushes off the crank and thats how the flywheel is pulled off. The puller you need has 3 arms or eyes to it, not to be confused with a 3 jaw puller. The bolts go through the eyes in the puller and thread into the flywheel. Sometimes the flywheel can be stuck on and you give it a light tap with a hammer as ure threading the puller center bolt and it will come off.

I got the puller but man this thing is on tight!!! It wont move at all!!

Crank in some tension on the puller and then take a hammer and "tap" the flywheel. Works every time for me.You also could soak it with WD40 over night.

YOu def need to crank down on those bolts and give it some nice love taps and it will come. Iv had my fun messing with those before. They can be very stubborn.

Alright i'll do that tommorrow, after i let it soak overnight thanks!

why pull the stator when you don't know if that's the problem?? get a multimeter & unplug the harness & check the stator coil resistance before you take the motor apart.

Good advice bob. I would check the plug caps first if the spark is weak and it backfires. But saying that I had a stator that ohmed out perfect but still had no spark. Changed the stator and it fired right up.
