Hey Guys I Think I Have A Pin Hole Leak On My Left Side Running Board Heat Exchanger. It Only Drips When Siting And Cold Not Much Loss Out Of The Tank. Is There A Safe Stop Leak That Can Be Added Or Do I Have To Pull It And Replace Or Have It Fixed?

Ya But Again I Think The Leak Is Between The Heatexchanger And The Running Board And Im Trying To Avoid Remvoing It If I Dont Have To.
I am actually having the same porblem... think its gunna have to be removed..
Maybe some bars leak in it? Not sure how much the cooling system holds so you would have to measure it out so you don't get too much in there. Pretty sure it should work, but maybe some others can chime in...
No Barrs/Leak stuff, not good in sleds...put a radiator pressure tester on it, you will need a import adapter to fit the coolant tank...pump to 15lbs pressure when sled is cold, then you will be able to trace its leak...I'll bet money on, it's low snow conditions & your running on the hot side & its coming from your over flow tub & running under the seat & draining down your tunnel...check the o/v tub to see in it's wet with coolant...OR...your rear bleed screw came loose under hi heat it's seeping out & under your seat under braking...either way you will need a tester to check...report back...cheersklrgreenis said:

Sounds Good Ill Give It A Test And Then I Think It Will Need To Be Yanked And Repaired Or Replaced! Any Suggestion On The Rivots To Replace On Reassembly. What Kind Or Where To Get Them?
punch the centres out if you can...don't go crazy with the hammer...then drill them out, some will spin...I use a old wood chisel & wedge under to keep from spinning...replace with "Stainless Pop-Rivets" just add the two thicknesses & then double that length, you should be good...If you have to pull the exchanger, cause of a leak...find the cause so you can address it...most likely was a stone or a previously drilled rivet that worked it's way between the tunnel & cooler...it can be welded, if you go through all the trouble of removing it, weld it...unless your in a remote area & only have aluminum patch of J.B. weld...there are cheap used ones out there, & most dealers have them in stock...good luck, keep us postedjdp1under said:

I believe BeTheViper has the multi grip rivets that Yamaha uses in these. You'll need an air riviter though if you want to get it done without looking like Popeye.
