I just bought the Rox 2" Pivot riser on e-bay. Waiting for it to arrive.
From all of the posts I've read, the 2" won't need any cable lengthening. I'm 6'1, so this should feel much better when standing. No need to raise the seat for me.
I'm assuming the brass coloured metal piece is what some of you have cut off correct? Can I just leave it?
Anything else I should know before the install?
Thanks.

I took the brass colored piece off(don't need to cut it) of my 02 Viper, but I put a 3.5 Rox Pivot riser on mine. You might be able to leave it with the 2 incher, just make sure nothing binds up after you install it(turn handle bars all the way both ways and watch the lines and wires),and make sure nothing is being pinched.

I put a 3.5 Rox on 1 of my vipers and had to take cable guard off.
I have a 2 inch powermadd straight block on the other viper and I also had to take it off so cables would not bind when turning.
I would remove it.
You should have no problems.
I installed seat risers on both, it makes a big difference, I am 6'1 and it lets you ride with your legs bent back or down instead of forward. I love them.

I had my articulating 2 inch rox riser move when riding. Emailed rox and they suggested getting these clamps. Arctic Cat part #0605-676. The risers will never move with these clamps. There is no knurl in the clamp on the Yamaha base and the riser is smooth, so nothing to hold position. The upper part is ok because the bar is knurled. Just something I ran into with mine. ;)!

Thanks acnas,
I guess your Rox 2" pivoting riser would be the same as mine. Did you end up getting that part from A/C? How much was it?
Anyone else have problems with this?

I've got 2" Rox riser on '04 Viper S with all stock clamps and clips & cables in place. No problems at all. Much better for standing and sitting.

Might have been $15 or so. I had them move before I did this mostly while boondocking. Once installed solid no movement. This was emailed to me from rox when I contacted them.
Reply from Rox today here is the solution:

Yes, here is a Arctic Cat part #0605-676. The risers will never move with
these clamps. They are a cast steel caps with three lines or teeth if you
will in them. You will need 2 of them. We have designed and made some
locking caps that worked great but are a bit more expensive than these so at
this time we just refer customers to this part.
