What would it cost a guy to throw a set of ohlins shocks on an 02 viper? With that being said what are some other shock choices and options? what would it cost to change out the skid and what is actually compatible? How much custom work is involved in doing so? I have seen some guys with an m10, some with I think an sc-10 III and some with a skid off an artic cat.
We all know the suspension isnt the high point of the viper. I have my wife's 02 ER for sale but depending on whether it sells and what it would cost to upgrade it with a better ride I might keep it. My wife is not riding this season so I have been keeping the machine for my dad and buddies. I would like to see a more articulate suspension in it but I dont want to invest more then I would get out of the machine either. I would like to see travel equivalent or there abouts to my 02 mxz x. And as I see it, its not justifable to sell this one only to turn around and buy a newer model viper. I would only consider upgrading the suspension if it was reasonable cost wise and I felt it worth keeping the viper for a couple more seasons.
How do you guys feel about running an 02 viper for another couple years? I just got done putting a fresh top-end in it and it runs fine. Hate the red though... and its a heavy hog of a sled though :-( Was thinking about customizing it and painting it black with white accents and changing the seat, windshield, risers and just sprucing it up in general if I can improve the ride for a reasonable cost. Looking for some opinions.

Well if you want you can always keep the Viper skid and throw it in when you sell the sled. That way you can put any skid you want in it and either keep it or sell it when you sell the sled.
