Can I run regular fuel that is 10% ethanol in a SXR 600. Everything is stock except for the reed notch.. I have to run preminum in my sled do to some mods but it seems like the gas hiking is on the way again so I was just wondering.

yamaha don't recomend anymore then 5% ethanol(owners man.)without rejetting,, i would not run the crap but thats me...

Most of my sleds have seen nothing but 10% ethanol.
It has been mandated in WI for like 15 years or more. We have had no issues from running 10% ethanol , but then again we don't have our toys jetted on the edge of being lean. If you do, you should go up a jet size or 2 to be safe.
Other than that, ethanol blended fuel does not stay fresh as long as pure dinosaur juice.
You say your sled is stock minus a reed notch, but then you also say that you run premium becasue of the mods done to it. The reed notch will not require premium fuel, you are simply wasting $$ on higher octane gas. Now if you have a shaved head, then you might want to run premium, but a simple thin head gasket does not require premium.
