Just want to see if anyone as come across anyone parting out a 04 Worrior LE turbo for parts. The sled was done by custom sled shop in T.O. Xpert X rear skid, big wheel kit,simmons skis, air brush hood with flames. All suspension chromed. The sled was bought with a bad certified cheque. Any help would be great, thanks.

I'm sorry about your loss...It really upsets me when some con artist does some CRAP like that... I suppose CASH is your best friend ( and smith and wesson are good backups!!!)

Sorry for your loss! Just have to ask.... what do you mean ( bad CERTIFIED cheque) ?? Never heard of such a thing. The certification of a cheque is to guarantee the funds are locked in an account for the person or company's name that is written in the PAY TO section on the cheque. Very sorry for your loss buddy. You might be able to back track the guy using the check that was given to you. There should be an address and name on it. You might be able to go to the bank that the check came from and let them know and they might be will to put a hold on the account for you. Good luck to you.

I was told on several trailer deals that a certified check means nothing?

Man... these type of stories make me sick! I had my truck, a buddies trailer that was attached to my truck and my one week old Rx-Warrior ripped off a couple of years ago. The truck was badly damaged but recovered near the Indian reserve. The sled and trailer never found. No insurance either! That was the worst sled season I ever had so I can relate. I know the rage you are feeling and the things you could do to that C-sucker but it's only money and you can always make more! Cheer up!

There is a big business right now in counterfitting certified cheques. Sorry about your loss tho.
i have herd alot about the fake checks .a buddie almost got ripped off from a corvette he sold cause the guy wanted to use wire transfer .....you sold it there in canada ? to someone from canada ? you still got the serial numbers and registration numbers ? just a thought but cant you trace the sled down by who has registered it now ?.if they were dumb enough to register it ..i am sure they didnt use there real name on the check ....i feel your pain and hope you have some luck locating the scumbag ....how long ago did this happen ?
hope u got the phone number from the guy who call u ....really sucks.... go to police station maybe they will let u see all the photo they have ..i'm sure its not good boy with cops......

dude... sucks i know. I had a 98 ZX7R stolen 3 mos after i bought it. 1600 miles and just broken in... no pun intended. steal my car, truck, whatever, but not my toys!
I had this situation happen twice....people trying to send me certified funds in the mail for big ticket parts....I never cashed them because something just did'nt feel right...took them to the bank for some pro's to look at them and sure enough they were fake....I emailed the people that sent them to me and just told them that the POLICE were notified and that their computer IP address was traced back to them .....I'm sure they lost a little sleep...I only take paypal or cash.....FYI these people were scamming on Craigslist..

It was counterfit and a company cheque.But the company went under last year.the guy had a fake licence and the cell he was using was not in his name.The cops can't find him.

that really sucks, post some pics if you have them. Also what was the company name on the cheque, it might ring a bell will someone else. What kink of truck/trailer did he have? what did he look like? I would post as much info as you can you never know who might read this. Hopefully you catch a break, good luck.
