I installed a pair of slim jim dooly wear bars on my wifes 600 sx dlx, handleing was much improved as for the darting. They do stop the darting sensation as adveritised. What I am not impressed at all with is the extreme amount of wear on the carbides. We all rode the same miles,720, on the same trails. The carbides is completely missing on outside edge of the left ski and the cabide is missing a one inch section on the outside of the right ski. My carbides on 700 sx are still sharp, my sons Phazer is slightly worn. One idea I have is the edge of the dooly's set down approximatly one inch. this would give more "ski" pressure, than a traditional wear bar with is usually on 1/2" rod. Does anyone know if Woody's has a warrantly on these type of bars?

I will say they wont cover anything like that, but that is my guess....

I will recomend next time to get the shapper bars from them, I bought a used pair of skis at Hayday a few years back, put over 2000 miles with those carbides and they where still like new, I bent the hell out of one last week so I went a bought a new set, I think rich has them for a good price here, I paid over 100 bucks shipped to me.

Hey and I live in the MN metro area, snow here in the last few sucked, and ussually go out riding from my front door so sometimes I do hit some pavement, and the those thing turn pretty nice....

We ran around 400 miles in the Detroit Lakes MN. area over Christmas and another 320 in Michigan over New Years. We did run some frozen dirt roads, but my son's and I wear bars are hardly used. I think the carbide was not set very good in the stamped steel plates. I have a comment into Woody's Warrenty Dept. I would like at least a replacement set. Wait and see I guess.

Update on Slim jim Dooly's, I talked to Mike at Woody's, sent the damaged wear bars, they inspected and are shipping a new set at no charge. Mike and the rest at Woody's have been excellant to work with. Mike even was going to pull a set off the line and send asap. I really appreciat knowing we still have buisinesses in the snowmobile industry which will bend over backward for it's customers. I will continue buying and recommending accy's for my own sleds as well as my customers from Woody;s traction. Thanks again Mike and Woody's traction. Allan

I'll bet they do, I had an issue with the original doolys, the studs that mount the runners sometimes would break off. I contacted Woodys and provided pictures, and they provided me with two new pair, for the two pair that I was having problems with, I'm still snapping off studs, but since I have a welder I can repair that. I'm sure that it has something to do with flexible skiis, the wear thing I don't know. I was thinking about going with the skinnys as they are supposed to improve the turning. Although I don't really have a big issue with turning, more steering accuracy is always welcome.

I had the same trouble with studs breaking off.Im not sure how old they were because I bought the sled used this year.I lost the back 2 studs on bolth skis(camoplast)so the bars were pivioting side to side on the skis.I didnt think to try and make a warrenty claim,I wish I would have,so I welded mine.
