I need to find out where I can tie in a 12V accessory outlet so i can connect my handheld GPS. I have a 99 700 SRX. I tried the solid bloue wire in the handle bar pad going to the high/low beam switch - No go. Any ideas - ?

Thanks ;)! ;)!

I read in another thread I should look for the red or brown wire coming from the voltage regulator under the plastic left foot well shroud. There are two parts of the voltage regulator listed on the oem diagrams. One has a blue wire and a black wire. The other part has a connector with four wires (yellow w/ white, yellow w/ red, black w/ red, and black w/ white). Thanks for any help.

There may be clean 12vd dc down around the foot wells behind the cowling. Look for hanging plug. The sx had electric start and it was the charging circuit. The other place there is clean dc is the line the smoothing condensor is on. What ever you do use a digital voltmeter on dc to find a source or you might be in for trouble when you plug your bat into it.
